New & Improved Balance Point Blog
A while back I took a quick look through my files to see how many research items hadn’t yet made it into the Balance Point newsletter.
I was surprised to find 1,174 different items on the list.
And, since new research emerges all the time, it made me realize that there is just no way to present all of this information to you in a weekly newsletter. Just presenting the information I already have would take over 22 years if published on a weekly basis.
I don’t know about you, but that seems way too long to wait…
In thinking about how to offer you more content it was also clear that many people don’t want to be bombarded by frequent emails. In fact these days email has become what postal mail used to be. The only difference is that rather than standing over the trash can sorting their postal mail, most people look through their emails with one finger on the delete button. I know I do.
However some of these new research findings are really good. It’s a shame to miss out on them if you’re concerned with your health and well-being. So I have come up with a new and slightly different way to offer you more of the most important health news.
It’s called the Balance Point Blog and here is the link:
http://www.BalancePointBlog.com
The blog platform allows me to more easily publish useful information as it comes out, while giving you a number of ways to view that information whenever you like.
For example, if you’re familiar with RSS feeds, you can easily subscribe to the RSS feed on the blog. The link is at the top right of every page. By subscribing you can use your favorite RSS reader to keep up to date on the latest information.
The blog format also makes it easier for you to comment, ask questions and otherwise interact with me and other readers. You simply write in the comment section at the bottom of each post. I will be reading all comments and replying to many of them.
Can I Get Your Input?
Of course, I will continue to send out email announcements about new posts. And that’s where I need your help.
I’ve created a very short (1 question) survey for you to let me know your preferred way – or ways – of receiving notifications. You’ll find that survey here:
http://www.balancepointblog.com/how-do-you-prefer-to-be-notified/
Since all new articles will be put on the new blog after today, your input will shape future mailings of the Balance Point Newsletter starting next week.
I really look forward to offering you additional valuable information in this new format!
Be well,
Dr. Bruce
