Beyond Pain Relief
When you are in pain, just getting relief from it sounds like the best thing that could happen. The worse the pain, the better this sounds. This is especially true of acute pain like a sports injury, or pain from a fall or an accident.
But when it comes to long-term or recurring pain arthritis (joint pain and stiffness), fibromyalgia (body pains in multiple places), headaches, chronic back and neck pain – just relieving the pain doesn't go deep enough.
Whenever a health problem like a recurring pain happens, there is always a deeper, underlying systemic pattern of imbalance that creates it. This is why taking pain relievers or rubbing lineament only provides temporary relief. They can't touch the underlying cause of the pain. For these kinds of pain a different approach is necessary.
Finding the Deeper Pattern
Since there are many causes of pain, each instance needs to be looked at individually. What follows is a quick summary of some of possible contributing factors:

- Chronic tension held in the body
- Toxic environment
- Poor posture or incorrect body usage (ergonomics)
Regardless of the underlying causes, chronic pain also reduces and creates imbalances within the neurotransmitters in the brain that keep us mentally sharp and happy.
This is why it makes sense to correct chronic pain problems by finding and correcting any and all of these contributing factors. This is why it makes sense to think beyond just pain relief.
